Founded in 1992, Era Ogilvy is the first Public Relations agency dedicated solely to the high-tech sector in Taiwan. Since 2002, Era Ogilvy has allied with WPP Group, a world leader in advertising and marketing services, and become a member of Ogilvy PR Worldwide. Era Ogilvy is now able to provide our clients integrated advertising and marketing services by utilizing resources from around the world.

 

In order to cope with the changes in the market and the needs of the clients, Era Ogilvy was renamed in 2008. With the new name and the new visual corporate identity system, Era Ogilvy has announced its next grand move. Established a branch office in Shanghai to provide PR services in China. Ranked the second largest PR agency in Taiwan.

2003 -

Awarded the Xilinx Asia Pacific Annual PR Award FY2003 Top Agency.
Awarded the NVIDIA Asia Pacific Best Performing Agency Award 2003.

2004 - Voted the “Best Agency of the Year" by clients, journalists and other professionals from Communication Industry.(Brain Magazine)

Joseph Pai / Chairman, Ogilvy & Mather Taiwan

 

Joseph Pai joined Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide/Taiwan in 1993 with more than 20 years of consulting experience. And he has been promoted to the Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Taiwan in January 2003. In Taiwan, Joseph is one of the most highly regarded communications professionals in both the private and public sectors.

 

As the chairman of Ogilvy & Mather, Ogilvy Public Relations, and Era Public Relations, Joseph heads a management team of 9 managing directors with around 500 employees. In addition to his responsibility of managing the overall development of the consultancy, Joseph provides senior strategic counsel for clients including: corporate positioning, crisis communications, investor relations and leadership communications. His extensive client counseling experience includes some of Taiwan's most influential multinational companies and governmental bodies including: Pfizer, Nokia, Scottish Development International, GlaxoSmithKline, Standard Charter, Coke, IBM, Ford, The Cultural Affairs Council of Taiwan, and The Premier Office of Taiwan, Republic of China, etc.

 

Prior to entering public relations, Joseph acquired broad experience in international marketing and management consulting. Joseph received his Ph.D. in strategic management and an MBA from National Chenchi University in Taiwan. He currently teaches Brand Management at the EMBA program of Graduate School of Management at National Chenchi University. Joseph is a board member of various social and cultural associations that include Tunghai University, Goodnews Radio, the, Metro Development Association of Taipei, and the Chinese Management Association.

 

 

 

 

Olive Ting / Chairperson

 

Olive Ting is currently responsible for running and managing company of Era Ogilvy PR. She has appointed as President of Ogilvy PR Group, Taiwan include Ogilvy PR Taipei office and Era Ogilvy PR during 2006-2007. At that time, she spearheaded the strategic planning and development of the Ogilvy PR business in Taiwan.

 

Prior to assuming the President of the largest two PR agencies in Taiwan, Olive was the founder and Managing Director of Era Ogilvy Public Relations. Era Ogilvy PR has acquired by Ogilvy PR worldwide network under WPP in 2002. She is still shareholder of Era Ogilvy PR.
Over years, under the leadership of Olive, Era Ogilvy PR has grown into the largest technology PR company in Taiwan. In addition, Era Ogilvy has been voted “The Best PR Agency of the Year” in Taiwan by Brain Magazine in both 2004 and 2005. Not only does she win the hearts of her local and international clients by becoming the best partner to them, but she is also the opinion leader of the PR industry in Taiwan.

 

Olive received her degree of Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Literature from Tamkang University and her Master degree in Business and Administration from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, she joined the Acer group and Elite Group, as corporate and marketing communication director.

 

She also has been awarded as “The Best Manager” in 1994 of Taiwan.

 

 

 

 

Wei Hsiang / Managing Director

 

Wei Hsiang joined Era Ogilvy as Managing Director in January 2010. Wei is responsible for providing staff leadership, new business development, developing strategic campaigns and programs, senior client management, increasing office visibility as well as conducting media training and helping clients with issue & crisis management. Prior to joining Era Ogilvy, Wei has worked on the both sides of communications, i.e. both media and PR perspectives. She has been as PR professional for 9 years, had played vital role at Ketchum Taiwan as VP and at Weber Shandwick Taiwan as GM. In her previous years, Wei has been responsible for supervising and managing corporate & finance communications and brand marketing accounts, important clients including MasterCard, Microsoft Embedded, Nortel, Boeing, FedEx, Merrill Lynch, McDonald’s, BenQ, GSK and Merck.

 

Wei has 12 years of journalistic experience. Before March 2001, she worked as a senior reporter with Chinese Television System (CTS) for 8½ years and a reporter with National Education Radio Station for 3½ years. At CTS, She covered medical news, financial news and transportation & communications news as well as investigation/in-depth reports. Wei is not only familiar with the process of news reporting, but is also an excellent writer. From her journalistic experience, she has developed an eye for what positive and negative news angles will Taiwan media find most attractive, which she currently effectively utilizes to promote clients from the media’s perspective, provide executive media training, as well as strategize crisis communications.

 

Wei, with teams’ efforts, had also received 2008, 2007 and 2006 Asia Pacific PR Awards, and 2006, 2004 CIPRA Awards in different categories. She had been nominated and received the Award of Best TV News Report of Tseng Shu-Pai Journalism Foundation (known as local “Pulitzer” Award) in the year of 2000. Wei speaks Mandarin, Taiwanese and English. She received her Bachelor of Art degree in Mass Communications from the Fu-Jen Catholic University, Taipei, Taiwan in 1986. In addition, she received her Master of Arts degree in Radio-TV-Film with concentration in “Media Usage and Assimilation” from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989.

 

 

 

 

Adonis Chang/ Group Account Director

 

Adonis joined Era Ogilvy Public Relations in May 2008. As an group account director, he’s now responsible for PR strategic development, issue and crisis preparedness and management as well as media handling (proactive/reactive).

 

Adonis’ leading of a group of 8 people; current clients include FET, EPSON, TomTom and Razer.

 

Before working for Era Ogilvy PR, Adonis worked for Ogilvy PR one and half year. During the period, he had provided the decent service to the clients including NIKE, Simmons, Diageo/Johnny Walker, Siemens, Pepsico, Ford, Avon, Scania, Yulon-GM, etc.

 

Prior to working for Ogilvy PR Group, Adonis worked for several companies of different fields, including Kingstone Book Store, Tower Records Taiwan, KPS Mega Store, Blockbuster Taiwan, eolTaiwan and CET (a company under Caves Books Store Group). Adonis has years of operation experience in entertainment (especially for movies and music), sports, culture and consumer product industries. He has 10-year experience in retailing and 8-year experience as a business consultant.

 

Adonis has a Bachelor degree in Business Management from National Taipei College of Business.

 

 

 

 

Freda Wan / Group Account Director

 

Freda joined Era Ogilvy in August 2004. As an group account director, Freda is mainly responsible for the public relations consultancy, media strategy formulation, and marketing communication service for Era Ogilvy’s international clients, including Conexant, Dell, Google, LSI, NVIDIA, Tessera, Xilinx and YouTube.

 

Before joining Era Ogilvy, Freda was responsible for marketing communications and international public relations at ASE Group, the world’s largest semiconductor packaging and testing company, where she accumulated the industry knowledge and the solid experience of international marketing and technology public relations. Before that, Freda was an assistant account manager at Edelman Public Relations and was responsible for strategic consulting for the company’s corporate and technology clients.

 

Freda graduated from Department of Journalism at National Chengchi University, Taiwan and Department of International Hotel Management at University of Albert, Canada.

 

 

 

 

Claudia Lin / Associate Account Director

 

Claudia Lin joined Era Ogilvy on June 2009. She is responsible for PR strategy development, IMC planning, issue/ crisis management and media training conducting. Current clients include Far EasTone, L’Oreal Taiwan, Johnson & Johnson, Hawley & Hazel, Herbalife, Pfizer and Standard Charter. With passion and love, she leads a team of PR professionals and offers high-quality PR service.

 

Before joining Era Ogilvy PR, Lin worked with Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide/ Taiwan as a senior account executive. She successfully conducted PR campaigns for various clients, including NIKE, Pepsico/Doritos, Ford, Avon, Scania, Simmons, Siemens, Novatis/Zelmac, B&L/Surgical, Elizabeth Arden. In 2008,

 

Lin took the position of marketing planner in ESPRIT Taiwan Ltd. Lin accumulated intensive PR experience in Health Care, Automobile, FMCG, Luxury and Fashion brand markets over past few years.

 

Claudia received the master of Marketing Management degree from the National Chung Cheng University.

 

 

 

 

Hulk Huang / Associate Account Director

 

Hulk Huang joined Era Ogilvy PR in 2003, focusing on high-tech product marketing for up to seven years, is currently responsible for services to AMD for marketing activities, specializes in planning marketing strategy to help customers achieve their business goals.

 

During his tenure at Era Ogilvy PR, Hulk fully found an understanding of the products and technologies that consumers want, along with computer industry trends and the relationship between the upstream and downstream in the high tech market. Hulk is able to provide clients with insight into the marketing proposal; he is highly regarded and recognized by the best public relations and marketing partners.

 

Hulk has a Bachelor of Business Administration at Soochow University.

 

 

 

 

Iris Peng / Associate Account Director

 

Iris Peng joined Era Ogilvy PR in December 2009. She provided service to customers in the field of IT, Hi-Tech, Telecommunications, Consumer Electronics, Energy and the Finance Industry. Main clients include APC, Cisco, Schneider, Cypress, CIGNA.

 

With strong international background and Olympic experience, Iris has strong strategic planning skills specializing in corporate communications, brand consulting, integrated marketing communication, large-scale event management, digital communication and CSR consulting. Prior to joining Era Ogilvy PR, Iris served as Account Manager for the Branding and Technology Practice Team at Fleishman-Hillard, Beijing and provided strategic consulting for clients.

 

Before entering PR agency, Iris worked in various industries in the marketing and media field. Iris holds a master’s degree in visual art administration from New York University, USA.

 

 

 

 

Kalvin Wang / Associate Account Director

 

Kalvin Wang joined Era Ogilvy PR in May 2005 and was promoted to Associate Account Director in August 2011. At his position, he provides precise marketing consultation, comprehensive marketing strategies for clients to reach client business goals. His major clients include AMD, Alibaba.com, Dell, HTC, TomTom and others in semiconductor, GPS and E-Commerce industries.

While working in Era Ogilvy PR, Kalvin accumulated abundant PR experience in semiconductors and high-tech areas. In addition, with his experience to integrate PR strategy and media communication skills, he also frames comprehensive marketing plans which integrate seminars, digital marketing and corporate branding. Furthermore, he extends his experience to consumer electronic and house industries, and develops creative thought, project management and communication skills to obtain many accolades from his clients.

Kalvin graduated from Yuan Ze University with the degree of Bachelor in International Business .
